Accurate released the New TwinSpin 50 spinning reel at the Tackle Trade World show in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is the largest spinning reel on the market. The Accurate TwinSpin Reels utilizing TwinDrag technology, Accurate has created the TwinSpin the world's only true TwinDrag spinning reel designed for super heavy-duty angling performance. Machined from the same high-grade materials as other Accurate reels, the TwinSpin has the strength and heat dissipating qualities to beat the kind of big, powerful fish like marlin, tuna and wahoo that you otherwise wouldn't think to challenge with a spinning reel. Other features to maximize leverage include a power handle, a unique, adjustable pre-set knob on the front of the spool to precisely control drag tension, and a rugged, manual bail mechanism for picking up line. Available in a 6:1 high-speed retrieve ratio, the TwinSpin 30 lays more than 50" of line on the reel spool with every full revolution of the reel's handle (also available in a 4:1 higher torque ratio). A series of circular, machined holes around the skirted spool serves to reduce heat build-up, and helps trim the reel's weight. 

Meeting the finest-quality standards of all Accurate gamefishing reels, the new TwinSpin 50’s body, rotor, and spool are precision-machined from solid block, 6061 T-6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The body itself is precision machined from a 1.5x5-inch billet, or block, of aluminum. Complementing the reel’s leading-edge design is a Titanium spool shaft and drag plates. Internally, the TwinSpin 30’s performance is maximized by 14 aircraft-grade, Abec stainless-steel bearings; plus stainless- steel gears, and a AccuDrag system using heat dissipating, Titanium drag-friction washers. The line capacity is 450 yards of 130 pound spectra braided line.

Externally, the TwinSpin 50 offers a quick-change spool capability with a drag pre-set knob located on the top of the spool. By using the drag registration lines found encircling the spool top, drag pressure can be precisely adjusted. Since the patented TwinDrag mechanism of the TwinSpin 30 is retained within the spool, optional spools with lines varying in breaking strengths can be quickly and easily switched without having to readjust the drag settings with each spool change. Line disengagement and pickup is via a rugged, manual bail mechanism. An ergonomically designed power knob conforms naturally to the shape of an angler’s hand.
