Collection: Slow-Pitch Jigging Rods

What Makes a True Slow Pitch Jigging Rod?

Slow pitch rods are distinctively engineered compared to standard conventional or spinning sticks:

• Parabolic Action: True SPJ blanks bend deep into the handle, loading up progressively to absorb shocks, protect light leader lines, and return energy to bounce jigs rhythmically off the bottom.
• Lightweight Multi-Modulus Carbon: Built to be feather-light so you can jig comfortably for hours without wrist or arm strain, yet engineered with immense hoop strength to handle unexpected brute-force pullers like giant amberjack and groupers.
• Spiral (Acid) Wrap Guides: Many high-end slow pitch rods feature spiral-wrapped guide trains that eliminate torque and line-to-blank friction under heavy loads, ensuring smoother free-spooling and fish-fighting stability.
