Accurate 500 Narrow 2 Speed BV2-500N-SPJ Slow Pitch Jigging Custom Red Silver

The 500N two speed is the best all around size for slow pitch jigging and with the addition of the lower gear ratio it can even do more. This is a great reel for pulling bigger species out of structure or getting the last few cranks in before the gaff comes, the lower gear ratio does a lot to make this reel versatile without making it much heavier. These hold around 600 yards of 30lb braid so you'll have enough capacity for the typical depths we fish, but you can step down to a PE2.0 line and get over 900 yards for deep water species. 

Despite the small and light package these reels put out 30lbs of drag at the top end while being smooth on the low end. The SPJ series reels no longer come with clamps but you won't need one if you pair it with a jigging rod. With PE3.0 line you can even use it as a light jigging reel for smaller tuna and bigger yellowtail. These reels come with the standard 3.8" handle but for a fee you can upgrade to a 4.3" or even 4.7" arm.

This is the probably the reel you'll see more than any other lever drag in the US when you're on a slow pitch charter, they have a good reputation and it's easy to tell why.
