The Yamaha 3/8" Primer Pump Assembly is designed to help quickly prime the fuel system and deliver fuel to the engine before startup. By manually pumping the primer bulb, fuel is pulled from the tank and pushed through the fuel lines to the engine’s fuel system, helping eliminate air pockets and ensuring consistent fuel delivery.

A properly functioning primer pump is essential for reliable engine starting and smooth fuel flow. Over time, primer bulbs and internal valves can wear, crack, or lose firmness due to fuel exposure and UV damage.
